Percheron Therapeutics Limited (ASX: PER) is a biotech company focused on developing impactful new medicines for orphan diseases. The company’s lead drug candidate, avicursen (ATL1102), is currently the subject of an international phase II clinical trial in Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a devastating genetic disease that leads to progressive muscle wasting. The trial is expected to read-out in December 2024. Ahead of the read-out, the company’s CEO, Dr James Garner, provides an update on the company’s progress to date and its strategy for taking the drug forward.
